My name is Kylie Saffron Cook and I have been doing makeup for weddings for over 17 years. In that time I have mastered the ability to answer all of these needs for each and every bride.

"My wedding day was how I dreamed it would be.
It felt special in so many ways and thanks to Kylie's wonderful make-up I looked as beautiful as I felt (so my husband told me).
I wanted my make-up to look natural, not over done, and Kylie knew exactly what to do. She chose the right tones to make my skin look flawless, shades to compliment my features and gave me a sun-kissed glow that made me look healthy and fresh.

My career in the Makeup industry may have started about 17 years ago, but my understanding of women started long before that. While I was growing up my mother had a beauty salon in our house and each day I came home from school to a back room full of women, some waiting, some getting their nails done and some sitting on the couch joining in the conversation while their pedicure dried. What an amazing introduction to the world of women that was, and even more amazing was my teacher!
My Mum really understood what women needed. I then grew up to work side by side as a manicurist with her and from there we both moved on to become makeup artists.

It is only now that I understand what I learned to do with my eyes and hands doesn't come anywhere near to being as important as what I learned about women from Mum.
Phew... it would seem that I have digressed! After we discovered our new skills as makeup artists, this is where we kind of separated on our paths. Mum went on to create Australia's first makeup artists makeup range,Ali Hamylton Cosmetics, and I went on to becoming the busiest wedding makeup artist in Sydney.
The secrets to my success were as simple then as they are now...

It all starts with your "trial". This is where we work together to come up with the perfect look for you and choose your makeup style for the day... this usually ends up being your makeup style for a lot longer than that!

I could talk for hours telling you stories from the last 17 years, but I don't think that is what you are looking for.
What every girl should be looking for is a makeup artist that will make you beautiful!
The questions you need to ask me are:
1) Can you do it Kylie? and...
2) How much?
The answer to those is easy. Yes I can do it...(my calendar is filling up though) and the costs vary depending on how many people and how far I have to travel. They are as follows....
Trial Makeup.
This is where you come to me (I am on the Southern Gold Coast) and we choose a look for you. This process takes about an hour or so and costs $50.00
(If you are interstate or you cannot get to me for the trial then we will have to make other arrangements and costs may vary.)
On the day costs depend on how many makeups to be done...
- One makeup is $100.
- Two makeups are $150 ($75 per makeup)
- Three makeups are $210 ($70 per makeup)
- Four or more makeups are $65 per makeup
I do not believe in charging more for the bride on the day, I devote the same amount of time for each makeup so think it is crazy to tap a little on the top for the bride! (It is crazy, people just have to hear the word 'wedding' and CHA CHING they hear the cash register go off! I do not charge more for a wedding, so why charge more for a bride?!)
Flower girls are free, as are bridesmaids that are under 14.
Travel costs are;
Red zone is FREE :)
Green zone is $20
Turquoise zone is $50
Blue zone is $60
Purple zone is $80
